Action for Street Kids was established to help children and young people who are homeless, abandoned and abused.
Across the world economic and social conditions are such that millions of children live in absolute poverty, struggling against malnutrition, disease, prostitution, drug addiction and violence.
Those who are homeless live without family or adult support, concern or loving
guidance. They are shown little compassion or kindness, frequently experiencing
anger abuse and brutality. These children are denied their rights existing on
the outskirts of society in a world where drugs, crime, violence and
exploitation reign.
And it is here that ASK works, with children and young people who live on the streets of cities both in the UK and overseas.
Through the projects we support, ASK helps to provide the very basics of life; friendship, food, shelter, medical care, education, vocational training and love.
We offer each child the protection and care they need, the chance of a happy
childhood, and the opportunities to find and fulfill their dreams and abilities.
