Big C pays for vital cancer equipment in Norfolk< & Waveney's hospitals (including mobile units) to help diagnose and treat cancer close to your home.
Big C supports cancer patients, their families and friends at the Big C Centre. You may like to find out about counselling, citizen's advice, discussions with professionals or find a welcome space to be between cancer appointments.
Big C invests in world-class medical research projects based at the University of East Anglia, including our very own Big C scientist.
Big C also knows when a cup of tea and a safe place to gather your thoughts is what you need right now.
Norwich's Sue Turley told us how our Centre helped her husband Phil to fight cancer and helped her to find some normality:
"Back in January when Phil was undergoing high dose chemo and a second stem cell transplant I was really frazzled.
The Big C Centre was a peaceful oasis for me during the few minutes I was away from the ward each day.
The Centre is detached from the general hustle and bustle of the hospital and away from the constant worry of sitting and waiting at my husband's bedside for days on end.
Your ladies were really lovely and made me most welcome. Being able to use the internet was a real life saver for me. It enabled me to keep friends and family in touch via emails rather than being inundated by phone calls when I actually got home in the evenings at around 10.00pm and to be able keep in touch with my work commitments as well as the wider world as a whole.
