Caspari Foundation

The Caspari Foundation provides acute psychotherapy services to vulnerable children and young people at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. We also help families and schools in delivering interventions that help children develop and grow.

Child drawing with crayon Not all children get a great start in life, and not all have an idyllic childhood - and it’s not their fault. Often, when children have been exposed to abuse, violence, bereavement and loss, substance or alcohol abuse, they develop emotional defences that get in the way of their learning and development. Without active support, these children all too often become further isolated and alone. The Caspari Foundation is here to help these vulnerable children.

Woman helping boy road Caspari not only campaigns on the issues surrounding children’s emotional and developmental needs, we help directly! Our highly trained therapists work directly with children and young people either in school or in our purpose-built therapy rooms on Caspari premises.Working on a one-to-one basis we identify signs such as a lack of interest in learning, difficulty dealing with adults, disruptive behaviour, and feelings of anger or fear.

Working through these issues we help children and young people:

  • With learning and communication difficulties
  • With emotional difficulties
  • Who have poor social behaviour and find it difficult to form relationships
  • Who are at risk of school exclusion

Boy writing with pencil lookup upwards Caspari is an independent charity working with schools and health and social services but we receive no government or statutory funding. It is only through the generosity of people like you, people who want to make a difference, people who don’t want to see vulnerable children excluded from society, people who believe every child deserves a chance. Thank you for your support.
