THURSDAYS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN...
Colchester CVS Cashcascade® - the lottery-style game supporting your voluntary sector offers players the chance of a £50,000 jackpot every week in addition to providing vital funding for the local good causes.Colchester Community Voluntary Services (CCVS) occupies a unique position within the Colchester district. Situated at the heart of the local voluntary and community sector, Colchester CVS is an independent infrastructure organisation and registered charity since 1968, whose aim is to promote and support the effectiveness of voluntary and community groups services activities in the Colchester area. CCVS links to over 400 charitable organisations, local people and groups making a huge difference to the community and to community cohesion. Unfortunately, the local voluntary sector is in desperate need of extra funding with many groups facing closure or down-sizing. With your help CCVS aims to raise up to £200,000 a year through the lottery-style game to be shared between the voluntary groups in Colchester. Not only do these groups provide many essential amenities and services in Colchester, particularly those for hard to reach groups such as the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged, they also work to influence policy and bring about change to meet the needs of their communities. For just a stake of £1 or £2 a week you could help save these valuable organisations from potential closure. Colchester CVS Cashcascade® - the lottery-style game supporting your voluntary sector offers players the chance of a £50,000 jackpot every week in addition to providing vital funding for the local good causes. A total of 45p of every pound raised through CCVS Cashcascade® will go directly towards supporting the voluntary sector in Colchester. This compares very favourably to the National Lottery, which gives only 28% to good causes. Twice a year CCVS will give money raised through CCVS Cashcascade® to local groups. A small percentage will also go to the Colchester and Tendring Community Trust which also gives grants to local organisations. In the first year of the scheme CCVS hopes to raise a minimum of £20,000 for the voluntary sector, and £200,000 a year within five years. In addition to making regular donations to good causes CCVS Cashcascade® offers players a number of incentives including:
