| George Hardwick FoundationThe George Hardwick Foundation was born out of a desire to support and champion others who selflessly give their much of their own lives over to the support of others. Carers provide unpaid care by looking after an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend or partner. They give so much to society, yet as a consequence of caring many people experience ill health, poverty and discrimination.
We work with a number of partner organizations to provide Carers with the most up-to-date advice and information, plus we offer free counselling and support. In addition, we are able to provide free relaxational therapies, such as Reiki and Massage, which enable Carers to focus a little much needed time on themselves. Working with more than 5,000 carers across the Tees Valley area, The George Hardwick Foundation offer a range of support services to help carers and former carers who are struggling with their role. We aim not only to provide support to Carers, but also to fight their cause and put an end to the injustice they face on a daily basis. The cost of these services adds up to more than £400,000 per year; a daunting sum and a fundraising challenge which we can only meet with your help. |

The George Hardwick Foundation provides a support network for Carers through our
three centres based in Stockton, Middlesbrough and the new, innovative Carers
and Patients Centre at North Tees Hospital.
