The Meningitis Trust is the only organisation that is solely focused on
supporting people affected by meningitis in the UK. Our support is a lifeline
to people who are struggling with the life-changing impact of the disease;
people who never thought that their lives would be torn apart by meningitis.
Every year the Trust helps more than 20,000 people through its specialised
services, financial grants and network of community support workers; giving
support for life, regardless of when the experience was. With more than 500,000
people living in the UK right now who have had meningitis, our ongoing work is
much-needed.
At 11 months, Logane contracted meningococcal septicaemia. She lost her right leg below the knee, her left foot and two finger tips. The Meningitis Trust has provided the family with a home visit and financial support for travel expenses for her numerous hospital appointments.
